Reiwa Sakura Tech ("we", "us", or "our") is an enterprise software consultancy based in Japan, with team members across Myanmar and Southeast Asia. Our website is reiwasakura.tech and our contact email is hello@reiwasakura.tech.

- Job applications (CV, email, cover letter)
- Account credentials if you are a team member with platform access
Information collected automatically
- Browser type, OS, and referring URL for server logs
- IP address (anonymised after 24 hours)
- Pages visited and session duration via server-side analytics
- Cookies for theme preference, language preference, and authentication state
Information we do NOT collect
- We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any third-party tracking scripts on this site
- We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with advertisers
- We do not collect payment information directly — all payments are handled by Stripe
3. How We Use Your Information
- To respond to contact form enquiries
- To review job applications and communicate with candidates
- To authenticate team members and maintain session security
- To improve website performance and fix technical issues
- To comply with legal obligations under Japanese law
4. Cookies
We use minimal, functional-only cookies:
- rst_theme — stores your dark/light mode preference (localStorage, not a cookie)
- rst_lang — stores your language preference (localStorage)
- rst_token — stores your JWT authentication token for portal access (localStorage)
- googtrans — set by Google Translate when you choose a non-English language
No marketing or advertising cookies are set. You can clear all site data from your browser settings at any time.
5. Google Translate
This site uses Google Translate's widget to provide multilingual support (English, Japanese, Russian, Myanmar). When you select a non-English language, Google's translation servers process the page content. Google's own privacy policy applies: policies.google.com/privacy.
6. Data Retention
- Contact form submissions: retained for 12 months, then deleted
- Job application data: retained for 24 months per Japanese labour law requirements
- Server access logs: retained for 30 days, then purged
- Team member account data: retained for the duration of employment plus 1 year
7. Your Rights
Under Japan's Act on the Protection of Personal Information (APPI) and, where applicable, the EU GDPR, you have the right to:
- Request a copy of the data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data (subject to legal retention requirements)
- Withdraw consent at any time

8. Data Security
- All data in transit is encrypted via TLS 1.3 (enforced by HSTS)
- Passwords are hashed using bcrypt with 12 rounds — never stored in plaintext
- Authentication tokens (JWT) expire after 1 hour (or 7 days with "Remember me")
- Our servers are hosted on a dedicated VPS with firewall restrictions and regular security audits
9. Third-Party Services
- Stripe — payment processing (payments.stripe.com)
- Google Fonts — font delivery (fonts.googleapis.com)
- Google Translate — on-demand page translation (translate.google.com)
- Let's Encrypt — TLS certificate authority
10. International Transfers
Our team members are located in Japan and Myanmar. Data you submit via our forms is stored on servers in Japan (hosted by ConoHa VPS). No data is transferred outside Japan except as required by the third-party services listed above, each of which maintains their own data transfer frameworks.

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of this site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
